The Finance Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 42 An Act                     
relating to the fiscal operations of the Alaska Railroad Corporation           
and to land acquired by the State of Alaska under the Alaska                   
Railroad Transfer Act of 1982 or otherwise acquired for railroad               
purposes; and providing for an effective date and recommended it               
be replaced with                                                               
                                                                               
CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 42(FIN), entitled:                                     
An Act providing that the Alaska Railroad                                     
Corporation is subject to the Executive Budget Act                             
(AS 37.07) and providing that certain expenditures                             
of the Alaska Railroad Corporation are subject to                              
appropriation; and providing for an effective date.
